This last weekend Las Vegas was the place to be! 311 fans from all over converged, arena style, to listen to 311 rock the MGM Grand Arena for their weekend of shows in honor of 311 Day. The performances are really for the fans, and 311 did not hold back.
To usher in the holiday on Saturday night, 311 played a double set show. 311 played several songs that

311 doesn’t just have fans, but a true following. To treat the bummed out fans that had to stay home and miss the festivities, 311 did something all fans could get excited about. A major announcement was made between sets….311 announced that this summer their 7th annual Summer Unity Tour will be with Slightly Stoopid!
This is an announcement that tons of reggae rock fans have been waiting for. Even the artists are stoked. After the show Nick Hexum tweeted “Slightly Stoopid joining @311 for this summer’s Unity Tour! Gonna be a fun one!”
311 and Slightly Stoopid joining forces should provide for one of the biggest and best tours this summer is offering thus far. The dates and locations have not yet been announced, but the 2011 Summer Unity Tour with Sublime with Rome was a nationwide tour through July and August. With the dates that have already been announced for both bands, it seems as if this tour will have a similar time frame.
The best reggae rock artists will be at every major music event this summer. For all the fans this tour announcement is like the cherry on top of the sundae. Fans better get ready for a fun summer! Stay tuned for more updates…
