311’s Unity Tour in Full Swing!

Not only is it finally here, but one of the biggest, most anticipated national tours in reggae rock history has its first week in the books! Rocking amphitheaters everywhere, this summer’s Unity Tour opened in South Dakota before ragging through Texas. These first five shows, are just a warm up for the hottest summer of shows around!

Nick Hexum told press “Summer Unity in full effect!…We’re really excited that Slightly Stoopid is on the 2012 Unity Tour. 311 and Slightly Stoopid seems like a perfect outdoor summer party. Can’t wait to see you all at the shows!”

Supporting the first anniversary of their tenth studio album,Universal Pulse, 311 has been playing recent hits like “Count Me In” and “Sunset In July,” along with all the long time favorites. At a 311 show there’s always first timers, and a devoted core following of fans, that have lost count of the number of shows attended. Constantly mixing it up, 311 is digging deep into their immense catalog playing 20 or so great songs every night, inordinately pleasing every fan. Look for different but equally incredible set lists each night! Check the set lists 311 has played so far.

Debuting new material, along with a new backdrop, and drum head of the trippy cover art for their upcoming seventh studio album Top Of The World, Slightly Stoopid is bringing it again this summer, co-headlining Unity Tour!

When the bill was announced, core Stoopid heads were worried that Stoopid’s set would be limited, compared to the long Stoopid/Neville/Denson/Carlos collaborative sets of last summer. In an interview with The Pier, Miles Doughty calmed fans saying “There is no doubt it’s going to be great! The way it’s set up, we are still going to play a nice, long set. And, to split it up with The Aggrolites and SOJA…it couldn’t be better! It’s going to be fun, man!..” Playing their beloved hits, along with Karl Denson and appearances by Half Pint, fans really are in for a great show!

Fans in select cities along the west coast will also have the privilege of seeing SOJA open the festivities, while the east coast will feature The Aggrolites as tour openers.

Given that these shows are truly for the fans, the bands are giving plenty of opportunities for fans to attend. Tickets are on sale now and many tickets are pretty inexpensive.
