This winter, Southern California based bands, Fortunate Youth and Hirie, will be hitting the road once again to bring you the West Coast Cruisin Tour! This 7-date run starts with a night in Vegas, followed by 6 shows heading up the coast from San Diego to the Mammoth Lakes area.
The two bands recently linked up last fall for the nationwide Tribal Youth Tour with Tribal Seeds. The Pier caught up with Hirie and asked what she had learned on her first time touring across the nation. HIRIE explained, “I learned a handful of things on tour and I owe it to the Tribal Seeds family. They took us under their wing and allowed us to experience tour life at its best. They run so efficiently and have an amazingly experienced group of people behind them. I also learned how important it is to interact with fans after every show. I enjoy that the most.”
Meanwhile, Fortunate Youth is currently nominated for two categories in the 2013 Pier Awards! Their March release, “It’s All A Jam,” is up for Album of the Year and FY is also running for Artist of the Year. They are one of the hardest working bands in the scene right now and the Fortunate Youth guys never take much time off touring so don’t be surprised if you see them coming to your town in the near future!
