On July 8th, Dirty Heads released their fourth studio album; Sound of Change, followed by a summer tour under the same moniker, alongside Pepper, Aer & Katastro. Now, the group has announced its plans to continue their Sound of Change tour into the fall with various US dates while also targeting Canada & Europe.
The Dirty Heads summer tour officially concludes on August 30th in Long Beach, CA at the Shoreline Jam festival. Dirty Heads will take the entire month of September off from touring and starting October 10th in Ventura, CA, the group will begin their fall tour. This time, the group will be hitting the road with Rome Ramirez of Sublime with Rome. This will be Rome’s first solo tour with the Dirty Heads as he will not be with SwR.

Still promoting their Sound of Change album, Dirty Heads praised Rome with producing 8 of the 13 tracks on the new release. Not to mention Rome’s first collaboration with the Dirty Heads in 2009, ended up being the hit single “Lay Me Down”. Rome will be on the road for 23 of the 34 total fall dates in the US & Canada, but will jump off the tour just before Dirty Heads fly to Europe. From November 19th to November 30th, the group will make stops in UK, France, Switzerland & Germany.
Sound of Change is Dirty Heads 3rd album release in 2 years. They released Cabin by the Sea in June of 2012, an all acoustic album Home – Phantoms of Summer: The Acoustic Sessions in October of 2013 and now Sound of Change this past July, 2014 via Five Seven Music. Sound of Change finds the group exploring new musical territory, working with an array of new producers that include Grammy award winning, Supa Dups (Drake, Bruno Mars, Eminem, SOJA), Buddah Shampoo, Niles, David Bassett, LDontheCut & the aforementioned Rome Ramirez. The album has 13 total tracks with guest appearances by B Real of Cypress Hill, Tech N9ne, & Ward 21.

In a recent interview with San Diego, CA’s 91x radio station, vocalist Duddy B commented how the albums new sound can enable broader opportunities for the band: “That’s another good thing with this album, we feel like its more international, its broader and I feel like we’ll be able to break new ground with this music. We gotta get out to Europe and want to go to Australia & Japan”
