After many trips across these great United States, Hawaiian native, Anuhea has compiled her live recordings in the form of a live album titled Butterflies that is due out Tuesday, September 17th.
Anuhea explains, “I wanted to name the album ‘Butterflies’ to commemorate the feeling that you get before you go on stage– that fluttering in my stomach, that nervous, excited-ness that never fails to fade for me, even after all these shows.”
Distributed under Jimmy Buffett’s Mailboat Records this release features 10 songs recorded live throughout her tours over the past couple years, as well as a bonus disc with previously unreleased-on-disc singles like “Forever Summer”, “High On Love” and “Perfect Day.”
The first thing fans will notice when they pick up their copy is the album artwork, done especially for this release by Hawaii artist Colleen Wilcox. “I had been a fan of her work for a long time, and after seeing her at one of my shows on the North Shore, we decided to collab’ on this release. We will be releasing more things, like posters, songbooks, shirts, and hats with the “Pulelehua (Butterfly)” artwork – can’t wait to share with you guys.”

“Overall, the whole album will take you on a ride,” Anuhea continues, “it will guarantee to make you laugh out loud at least twice. The album will make you sing along, and introduce you to a different side of Anuhea and the band. Its really a fun listen, with beautiful packaging, and I can’t wait to share it with everyone.”
The album will be available all throughout Hawaii, in major retail stores such as Longs Drugs, Walgreens, Walmart, and more, as well as through iTunes and Amazon.
