Captain Bud Returns with a ‘Mixed Bag’….

British Reggae/Punk band, Captain Bud, who was active for 6 years from 2004-2010, has returned with a new album titled “Mixed Bag…The Very Best & Worst of Captain Bud”. The new release will be put out on Pipeline Records and is slated for a March 10th digital release!

From 2004-2010, Captain Bud had a growing fan base that spanned both Europe & the US, thanks largely in part to their high energy live shows. They played host to the US Reggae Bands whenever they would hit the UK shores and have big named fans that include Kaleo Wassman of Pepper & Rymo of Slightly Stoopid. CaptainBud_Cover

Captain Bud released a 6 track demo EP in 2006 titled Charlie Don’t Surf’. In 2007 they released another demo called Wicked Woman and then the bands most successful release in 2010 with the album Unite. Unite was put out by Long Beach Records Europe.

After the release of their 3rd album Unite in 2010, Captain Bud disappeared from the radar after cancelling a planned US tour while they were in Minnesota. Since then, the band members have been involved in various other projects. Si Short was performing & recording with Zack Walters of 3rd Alley, a long with other former affiliates of Sublime.

With their new album, Mixed Bag… The Very Best & Worst of Captain Bud, the group has 18 total tracks that include unreleased demos, songs from all 3 previous releases and live recordings from past shows in both England and California. It’s described as an eclectic mix spanning the bands career from early punk tracks to their later reggae groves.

You can pick up the new album via all online digital outlets, including iTunes on March 10, 2014. Become more familiar with Captain Bud or rekindle your love with the group that gave us 6 awesome punk rock-reggae years, by checking the links & video below!
