Today at 4:20pm, fans can tune in, exclusively, to the World Famous KROQ to hear a brand new song from the Dirty Heads with their new single “That’s All I Need.” This is the first release of new music from the Huntington Beach based group since the 2014 release of their last album, Sound of Change.
Back in January, when we published our 2016 Most Anticipated Albums feature, it was discussed that the Dirty Heads would explore the option of releasing 5-track EP’s every 9 months, in place of a full length studio album. Fast forward the clock to present day and thoughts have changed as Dirty Heads plan to release a full length studio album, hopefully this summer to compliment their summer tour and the campaign for that record starts today with the premiere of their new single “That’s All I Need.”
The song was produced by Justin Gray, mixed by Brian Malouf and mastered by Chris Gehringer. As for the rest of the album, it was seen on their social media that they were in the studio working with Nick Hexum of 311, in addition to bringing in Slightly Stoopid’s horn section. Management described the interaction with Nick Hexum as a producer/writing session.
Be sure to visit www.Kroq.com at 4:20pm PST today, or if you’re in Southern, CA tune into 106.7 on your radio dial to listen to the song. If you enjoy it, make sure you call in to KROQ and continuously request they play it!
While the group is excited to release new material from an upcoming new album, no further details were shared on a potential release date. Something worth noting is that the Dirty Heads will take off on their summer tour with Sublime with Rome, Tribal Seeds and Bleeker starting July 1st.
Dates are still being added so don’t be too upset if you don’t see a show in the big market of your hometown — Denver, CO we’re talking to you!
