GRAMMY-Nominated Common Kings Release Tribute To Fallen Bandmate Drew Stoch In “Stand By Me (Drew Forever)”

GRAMMY-nominated group the Common Kings have returned with a new single “Stand By Me (Drew Forever)“. The song is a loving tribute to Common Kings keyboardist Drew Stoch who tragically passed away in 2020. Stoch was a multi-talented music producer and keyboardist who had brought energy and creativity to the stage in everything he did.

“In loving memory of our cherished friend and bandmate, Drew Stoch, we present ‘Stand By Me,’ a song born from a void left in our hearts and on the stage,” said the Common Kings in a statement. “Drew was more than just a band member on the road; he was our brother and a remarkable musician with a profound love and deep respect for reggae music. He inspired us with nightly listening sessions and philosophical exchanges for Common Kings to never settle in our pursuit for greatness on the stage. Drew’s musical legacy will continue to live while we play his sounds through the speakers every night we perform. It’s Drew Forever until we see you again at our final performance.”

Through the lyrics and melodies of “Stand By Me”, Common kings give tribute to their dear friend and fallen brother. The Kings invite the world to share in their own remembrance and honor of loved ones who have passed on.

Common Kings recently released their latest studio album ‘CELEBRATION’ earlier this year on tastemaker label Mensch House Records. The album features guest appearances by J Boog, Marc E. Bassy, Sammy Johnson, Royal Blu, Kabaka Pyramid and SpreadLof, Big Body Cisco, Demarco, and more.
