Singer-songwriter Jack Johnson is heading back to Oceania this fall, announcing a 2026 run of dates across Australia and New Zealand alongside Ben Harper and John Butler. The tour marks the first time the three artists have teamed up for a full run together, bringing a stacked lineup of roots, folk, and surf-inspired sounds to the region.
The Surfilmusic Tour will hit six cities between November 7 and November 22, with stops in Brisbane, Perth, Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland, and North Canterbury. The run comes as part of a broader touring cycle for Johnson, who is currently preparing to release a new documentary soundtrack created in collaboration with Hermanos Gutiérrez.
For fans, the pairing feels like a natural fit. Johnson’s laid-back acoustic style, Harper’s blend of blues and soul, and Butler’s virtuosic guitar work all share a common thread rooted in organic instrumentation and conscious songwriting. On this run, both Harper and Butler are set to perform solo and acoustic sets, while Johnson will be backed by his longtime band.
The announcement also marks Johnson’s first major tour of the region since 2022, making it a long-awaited return for audiences across Australia and New Zealand. With all three artists known for their dynamic live performances and loyal fanbases, the tour is shaping up to be one of the standout runs of the season.
Tickets are set to go on sale May 12, with strong demand expected given the rarity of this lineup and the limited number of dates.
As live music continues to rebound globally, tours like this highlight the staying power of artists who have built their careers on authenticity and connection. For Jack Johnson, Ben Harper, and John Butler, this run is less about spectacle and more about bringing their music back to the spaces where it resonates most.
