Sublime Frontman Performing Double-Duty With Jakobs Castle Dates in California – Live at Venice West on May 29th
On the heels of releasing new music with Sublime, Jakob Nowell is on a roll as he steps out with more California dates on his album release tour with Jakobs Castle, performing songs from their newly minted album under Epitaph Records, ENTER: THE CASTLE.
The son of Bradley Nowell takes on Northern California this weekend, performing at The Commons in Chico on Saturday, May 25 before opening two sold-out shows with the Wailers – in Napa Sunday, May 26 for BottleRock After Dark’s event at The Garden by Tannery Bend Beerworks and Half Moon Bay Monday, May 27 at Old Princeton Landing.
But the big treat comes next Wednesday, May 29 in Venice when Jakobs Castle headlines Venice West. The show will feature support from Noah Weiland – son of late Stone Temple Pilots frontman Scott Weiland – as well as special guests Salter and Jagg.
Jakob told the Argonaut that fans should expect beautiful chaos and the band’s trademark robot as they perform his signature “pretty but gritty” style of electronic beach music.

Born and raised in SoCal, Jakob describes his upbringing as chaotic, where art and music became a form of escapism. He channels his innate talent and taste for obscure underground internet culture into an undeniable sound that showcases a distinct point of view as an artist and performer in his own right.
