GRAMMY-nominated six-piece funk outlet Lettuce will make their much anticipated return to Los
Angeles at The Bellwether on Saturday, September 12th. The group will deliver their signature
blend of fan favorites and deep cuts in their catalog, carefully crafted covers, and improvisational
explorations as they continue their worldwide tour of their latest album Cook. Doors are at 7pm and

Cook isn’t just a nod to Lettuce’s musical heat; it’s an invitation to join the band at the table, where
funk, soul, jazz, rock, and hip-hop come together in one rich, flavorful dish. The album offers a menu
of delights that marks a group exploring new sonic territory including a cover of Keni Burke’s “Rising
to the Top,” the retro instrumental hip-hop “Breathe,” “Keep On” co-written by Tower of Power’s
Emilio Castillo, and showcasing their signature brand of modern funk on “Gold Tooth.”
“This record is a little more three-dimensional than our past albums,” says drummer Adam Deitch.
“It shows a lot more sides to the band, exploring further depths of production and arrangements.”
Los Angeles has always held a special place for Lettuce. During the band’s last LA appearance in
January 2025 on a co-headlining tour with GZA of Wu-Tang Clan, Lonnie Walker of the legendary LA
band WAR sat in performing three WAR songs with Lettuce “LA Sunshine,” “Low Rider,” and Slippin’
Into Darkness,” which Lettuce covered on their 2012 album Fly. Chali2Na also sat in and freestyle
on the band’s original song “Hawk’s Claw.” When Lettuce performs in LA, you never know who will
show up.
“LA!! The modern music community there is so inspiring—so many world class musicians and intent
music listeners. I cannot wait to bring some FUNK into that sphere!” shares Deitch on the band’s Los
Angeles return.
With influences that span from Tower of Power, The J.B.s, Prince, and more, The Bellwether is an
appropriate venue to capture the energy of the group’s infusion of inspiration. The venue was
previously occupied by Glam Slam West, Prince’s west-coast nightclub in the early 90s. He designed
the space and played here a few times in that period, along with other performers including 2Pac,
Ice Cube, Peter Gabriel, No Doubt, Billy Idol, Bjork and Lush.
“LA is the land of dreams becoming reality,” says bassist Erick “Maverick” Coomes. “From the first
time I heard myself on the radio with Dj Quik to flying on Dr Dre’s private jet to work with Eminem,
playing bass, guitar and arranging a string section on Quincy Jones’ album or being a part of the
classic movie Point Break there’s nothing you can not achieve if you put your mind to it and work
together with a team. The opportunity to meet and work with the best in the business is what LA is all
about.”
The Cook Tour also coincides with the recent launch of Lettuce World, the band’s new official
membership community and direct-to-fan platform. Developed in partnership with Volume.com,
Lettuce World gives fans access to exclusive livestreams, archival performances, ticket presales,
merchandise discounts, exclusive products, and premium content while creating a dedicated home
for the band’s growing community. The platform also includes a rollout of the band’s intimate “House
of LETT” shows that took place in Denver, CO this past December which captured the show in

Throughout 2026, Lettuce will continue their Cook tour throughout the U.S. including notable festival
plays and a performance with the Missoula Symphony Orchestra continuing their longstanding
collaborations with top orchestras across the country. They are also preparing the release of the
second volume of the band’s own natural wine brand “Lettuce Crush.”
