The Southern California band was ready for the unprecedented heat wave that has taken over the Pacific Northwest and made a quick comment about the heat wave that overtook Neumo’s. No one seemed to care as the smell of sweat permeated the atmosphere of the club. Embree looked at the under 21 section located on the second level with fans looking down at everyone dancing on the floor. He expressed his gratitude for showing up and felt heartbroken they could not share the experience on the same level as everyone else.
With the band’s custom stage set-up, there were basically no house lights on. The back of the band members were eliminated by their light rig, resembling a giant “R” and “X” that changed depending on the mood of the music. Drummer, Chris Tsagakis was almost hidden between the two familiar letters and we could see only the faint motion of his drumsticks. Photographer, Eric Schoep was able to capture a couple of clear images of Chris at work.
