Clear Conscience – “Real Soon” (Ft. E.N Young)
“Real Soon” Background:
The 9th studio release from Clear Conscience is their EP titled Shelter From The Storm and was released on January 22nd. The release is packed with guest vocal appearances, including Tribal Seeds‘ newest member, E.N Young and Beyond I Sight’s new lead singer, Ryan Gonzo and Eddie Blunt of High Tide.
Here’s the back story on the song “Real Soon”:
The song was created in a hotel room while the band went to San Diego to open for the great Stick Figure. After a set at the 710 Beach Club, Clear Conscience Guitarist/Vocalist, Jeff McDermont, couldn’t sleep and he whipped out his acoustic guitar, came up with the guitar line and chorus of the song with some scratch verses.
About 3 months later the song was sent to E.N Young to produce and be part of. Young sent the band back a scratch verse and they instantly fell in love with what he did. It had that island feeling with a touch of lust.
In addition to the guest appearance, Shelter From The Storm was Produced, Engineered and Mastered by E.N Young.
Here’s what Jeff McDermont of Clear Conscience told The Pier regarding the new EP:
“As you can see this is a collab album we did with E.N so its way more ‘Roots or Reggaeish’ than our normal stuff but we are moving in a more harmonic, islandy direction with our music so this is a great transitional album and honestly my favorite we have released so far! The track ‘Real Soon’ we think will be our big track off this album so we will be giving that track a huge push.” -Jeff McDermont, (singer/guitarist) Clear Conscience

Clear Conscience Background
If you’re not familiar with Clear Conscience, they’re representing Northern California’s “Bay Area”. They generally take elements of Reggae, Rock & Hip Hop, combined with a slew of guest appearances before blending it all together in a sound they call Clear Conscience. Popular for their many guest appearances both on and off the stage, Clear Conscience line up consist of members Jeff McDermont – Guitar/Vocals, Blaine Dillinger – Guitar, Robert Ledesma – Vocals/Percussion, Julian Nielsen on Bass & Josh Badura on Drums.
