The Big Easy’s Outlaw Nation are set to unleash a new record titled Butterin’ Up & Aces High on May 1, 2012. Selfish DIY Records are sponsoring the release of the outlaw’s 8th record, which is said to blend ingredients of alternative, roots, Americana, and of course the soul-filled sounds of New Orleans.
Outlaw Nation’s “Gutter Reggae Soul” undoubtedly reflects the cultural significances in New Orleans-style music. The unique jumble of reggae, ska, and alternative rock has been the prescription for success as the members of Outlaw Nation have been writing and performing music for nearly 12 years together. In 2012, Outlaw Nation will be performing at the annual 311 Caribbean Cruise along with many other big names.
On March 8, the outlaws will share the first single from the record titled “Let Loose”. It will be available for free download at the Outlaw Nation Website at 10 AM ET.
