Hawaiian reggae-rock veterans Pepper are hitting the road in 2027 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their fourth studio album, No Shame. The band has announced an extensive North American tour that will see them revisit one of the most defining records of their career, with support from Passafire, Tunnel Vision and SensaMotion on select dates. ![]()
Released in 2006, No Shame marked a pivotal moment in Pepper’s evolution from a trio of friends playing music in Kona, Hawaii, to one of the most recognizable names in the American reggae-rock scene. The album featured fan favorites like “No Control,” “Your Face,” and “Point and Shoot,” helping cement the band’s reputation for blending reggae rhythms, punk-rock energy and infectious melodies.
The anniversary tour kicks off January 15th in Berkeley, California, before heading to Anaheim and Del Mar. Following those opening West Coast dates, Pepper will return to the road in February for an extensive run through Florida, North Carolina and the East Coast before making their way across the Midwest, Texas and back to California. The tour wraps up March 20th in Sacramento, California.
Joining Pepper for the celebration will be three familiar names from the reggae-rock community. Passafire will open the first leg of the tour, including the California dates and a series of February performances throughout the Southeast. Tunnel Vision will take over supporting duties for the East Coast and Midwest dates, while SensaMotion will join the band for the final stretch through Texas and the Western United States.
The announcement comes as Pepper has been revisiting its storied history through the band’s podcast, The Pepper Chronicles. In a recent episode, Kaleo Wassman, Yesod Williams and Bret Bollinger reflected on the making of No Shame, discussing their experience signing with a major label, collaborating with 311 frontman Nick Hexum and recording at 311’s studio, The Hive. The band also recalled how the album afforded them something they hadn’t previously enjoyed during the recording process: the luxury of time.
Nearly three decades after releasing their debut album, Give’n It, in 1998, Pepper continues to be a staple of the reggae-rock community. The upcoming anniversary tour offers longtime fans an opportunity to celebrate an album that helped shape the band’s sound and introduce their music to a wider audience.
