Originally released in 2016, the record became a quiet cornerstone of the modern conscious-folk and roots movement, eventually surpassing 88 million streams while helping build one of the most devoted grassroots followings in the scene.
Now, nearly a decade later, Satsang is bringing the album back to the stage in full with the The Story of You 10-Year Anniversary Tour, a nationwide run kicking off in March 2026. The tour will feature full-album performances, re-imagined arrangements, and personal reflections on the songs that helped shape a defining chapter of the band’s journey.
The Story of You introduced a wider audience to Satsang’s signature blend of soulful lyricism, roots-driven grooves, and spiritually grounded storytelling. Songs like “I Am,” “Remember Jah,” and “Here If You Need” quickly evolved into live anthems — less about spectacle and more about shared feeling, intention, and presence.
Rather than chasing trends, the album quietly built momentum through word of mouth, relentless touring, and genuine connection. In the years since, its influence has only expanded, helping define a lane where folk, reggae, and consciousness-driven songwriting intersect.
The anniversary tour isn’t framed as a nostalgia exercise. Instead, it’s a living reflection of where these songs have traveled — and who they’ve traveled with. “When I made The Story of You, I had no idea how far these songs would travel or how deeply they would resonate,” says Drew McManus. “A decade later, I am still feeling that connection every night. This tour is my way of honoring the people who have been with us since the beginning, and welcoming in the ones who found these songs along the way.” Alongside the album in full, fans can expect selections from across Satsang’s catalog, plus new material offering a glimpse at what’s coming next.
Satsang’s reputation as a live act continues to grow — performances known for balancing explosive energy with quiet vulnerability, where the crowd feels less like an audience and more like a shared space. That dynamic has allowed the project to thrive in both intimate clubs and major festival settings.
Most dates on the tour will feature support from Joey Harkum, adding another layer of warmth and lyrical grit to an already connection-driven run.
