    Organically Good Trio – Alakazam
    Release Date: September 1st
    Organically-Good-Trio

Organically Good Trio is a Hammond organ driven roots instrumental group out of Boston. Founded by Slightly Stoopid keyboard player Paul Wolstencroft, the band has a sound reminiscent of the great organ trio albums of the late 60’s. The music takes elements of jazz, and incorporates blues, R&B and church. There’s a lot of feeling involved, and a lot of Ray Charles influence, and even some hints of reggae. There’s a reason they use a Hammond organ in a church; its because it’s a very soulful instrument. It’s like an entire orchestra at your fingertips. Often imitated never duplicated, the Hammond organ is the organ sound everyone is after.

The trio’s debut album – Alakazam, is available as of Sept 1st on Stoopid Records. It also features talents of Steve Fell on guitar, and the soulful grooves of Eric Kalb. Also featured on the 11 track recordings are a ton of guests including Timo Shanko and Karl Denson on sax, Rymo on percussion as well as Bill Carbane, Yahuba Jose Garcia Van Martin, Michael Pujato.
