Sublime Partner With Atlantic for New Album, Regime Continues to Lead Management

Sublime have signed a partnership with Atlantic Records for the release of their forthcoming full-length album, marking the first new LP featuring Jakob Nowell alongside founding members Bud Gaugh and Eric Wilson.

What has not changed is leadership. The band remains managed by Regime Music Group, who guided Sublime’s recent independent comeback and historic radio run.

Following acclaimed performances at Coachella 2024 and a reunited lineup built around Bradley Nowell’s son Jakob, Sublime intentionally chose to release their first new singles independently. “Feel Like That” featuring Stick Figure and “Ensenada” were released through Sublime Recordings and Jakob’s SVNBVRNT venture in partnership with Regime.

Regime led marketing and radio promotion, operating as the label entity while maintaining the band’s ownership of their masters.

The result was historic. “Ensenada” spent eight consecutive weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s Alternative Airplay chart, becoming the longest-running No. 1 alternative song of 2025 and exceeding the three-week peak achieved by “What I Got” in 1997.

Kevin Zinger, founder of Regime Music Group and long-time Sublime manager, detailed the strategy behind the rollout:

“When Sublime began releasing new music, we made a very intentional decision to release the first few singles ourselves. We had the infrastructure in place and most importantly, we wanted the band to stay in control of their music.

He added:

The band put tremendous trust in us, and we weren’t going to let them down. There was no additional financial upside for us in taking on the extra work as the label — nor were we looking for one. When ‘Ensenada’ hit #1 at Alternative radio, that was more than enough reward. It was a defining moment for all of us and Sublime’s legacy.

The Atlantic partnership followed that independent success.

“Before sitting down with anyone, we had already outlined what a partnership would need to look like,” Zinger said. “After meeting with Atlantic, we all walked out knowing we had found the right home.”

Atlantic will release the upcoming album. Management remains with Regime.

The announcement arrives as Sublime prepare to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their self-titled 1996 album with two nights at Red Rocks Amphitheatre on April 17 and 18. The band will also launch Sublime Me Gusta Festival beginning May 9 in Fort Worth, Texas.

Nearly three decades after their breakthrough, Sublime are entering a new era built on independence, legacy, and intentional growth. Atlantic may be distributing the next chapter, but the vision continues to be shaped by the band and the Regime team that has guided them through their resurgence.
