One of California’s biggest rock festivals is returning in a big way — and Sublime will be part of the action.
Organizers for Aftershock Festival have announced the full 2026 lineup, revealing more than 140 artists across five stages at Sacramento’s Discovery Park from October 1–4. Among the major names appearing on the bill is Sublime, continuing the band’s high-profile run of festival appearances during their new era with frontman Jakob Nowell.
The lineup is anchored by headliners including My Chemical Romance, Limp Bizkit, Pierce the Veil, and Tool, but Sublime’s inclusion highlights the continued crossover between punk, reggae, and alternative music within modern festival culture.
Since returning to the stage with Jakob Nowell — son of the band’s late founding vocalist Bradley Nowell — Sublime has steadily rebuilt its presence on major festival lineups across the country. The band’s appearance at Aftershock continues that momentum, placing their blend of ska-punk, reggae, and Southern California surf culture alongside heavy rock acts and alternative mainstays. While Aftershock has historically leaned toward metal and hard rock, recent years have seen the festival widen its sonic reach, bringing in artists that shaped the broader alternative landscape. That includes legacy acts like The Offspring, hip-hop pioneers Wu?Tang Clan and Public Enemy, and genre-blurring performers like Danny Elfman.
Produced by Danny Wimmer Presents, Aftershock 2026 marks the largest lineup in the festival’s history. In addition to the expanded bill, organizers are introducing on-site camping for the first time, allowing fans to stay at nearby Cal Expo with RV, car, and tent options. Campers will also receive access to a Wednesday night pre-party. Beyond the music, the festival will feature themed fan areas including the Tremors Dive Bar, Cantina del Diablo, the Aftershock x Jungle Bird Tiki Bar, and a sports viewing zone dubbed Overtime Sports Bar. Aftershock drew more than 164,000 fans in 2025, generating an estimated $39 million economic impact for the Sacramento region.
For Sublime fans, the announcement adds another major stop to what is shaping up to be an increasingly busy festival calendar for the band. From reggae-leaning events to major alternative festivals, Sublime’s return to large stages continues to bridge generations of fans — blending the legacy of their Long Beach roots with a new chapter led by Jakob Nowell. Aftershock 2026 runs October 1–4 at Discovery Park in Sacramento.
