The Elovaters Drop “Jean Jacket” as Shark Belly Motel Rollout Continues

Boston’s The Elovaters are back with “Jean Jacket,” the latest single from their upcoming album Shark Belly Motel, set for release May 15 via Ineffable Records.

The track marks the seventh single unveiled from the project, continuing a steady rollout that has kept the band at the forefront of the reggae rock and alt pop crossover space. “Jean Jacket” leans into the group’s signature blend of breezy melodies, polished production, and genre fluid songwriting that pulls equally from reggae, alternative, and pop influences.

Building Momentum Toward Shark Belly Motel

Shark Belly Motel is shaping up to be one of the band’s most collaborative and expansive releases to date. The album will feature appearances from Dirty Heads, Bryce Vine, and DENM, reflecting The Elovaters’ continued ability to bridge scenes and audiences.

The new project follows their 2023 album Endless Summer, which included features from Little Stranger and Surfer Girl and helped solidify the band’s position as one of the fastest rising acts in the modern reggae rock landscape.

The Elovaters have matched their release momentum with an aggressive touring schedule over the past year. In 2025, they joined Rebelution on tour before launching their own 19 date headlining run in November.

More recently, the band completed a 27 date headlining tour, highlighted by two hometown shows at MGM Music Hall in Boston, a major milestone that underscored their growing draw.

That trajectory continues into 2026, where the band is set to play their first ever headlining show at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado, which is already sold out ahead of its May date.

With “Jean Jacket,” The Elovaters continue to refine a sound that sits comfortably between laid back reggae grooves and modern alternative pop sensibilities. As the rollout for Shark Belly Motel continues, the band’s combination of consistent releases, high profile collaborations, and rapidly scaling live presence points to a breakout year ahead.
