Hawaiian reggae mainstays The Green have released their new album, Titles, a 15-track collection that places the band’s O‘ahu roots at the center of one of its most collaborative projects to date.
Released July 17 through The Green under exclusive license to Ineffable Records, Titles balances the warmth, vocal harmonies and unhurried grooves that have defined the group’s career with a broader cast of voices from across Hawai‘i and the wider Pacific music community. The album follows the May release of its title track, which introduced what the band described as a particularly reflective new chapter.
Rather than building the album around one dominant songwriter or frontman, The Green opened the process to contributions from throughout the band. That shared approach is fitting for a group whose sound has always drawn strength from the contrast between its singers, musicians and individual creative perspectives.
The result is a record that feels designed to represent the full identity of The Green. Tracks including “Give A Little,” “Halelu,” “NWA,” “Sad Thing,” “Have Mercy,” “Love Will Light the Way,” “So What,” “Trouble (Goes Around)” and “Love Like Yours” move through relationships, personal accountability, perseverance and the responsibility that comes with carrying love into difficult moments.
Titles also brings together collaborators representing several corners of contemporary Hawaiian and Pacific music. Johnny Suite appears on “Love For You,” while O‘ahu reggae artist Likkle Jordee joins The Green for “Roots Girl.” New Zealand singer Stan Walker contributes to “Way Back Home,” and Maile appears on “Are You Really Mine.”
One of the album’s most meaningful collaborations arrives on “Ua Ko,” featuring legendary Hawaiian vocalist, kumu hula and cultural figure Robert Cazimero. His presence gives the record an especially direct connection to Hawaiian musical tradition, reinforcing that The Green’s role within island reggae has always involved more than creating laid-back songs for mainland audiences.
The Green emerged from O‘ahu with a sound that could move naturally between roots reggae, island music, soul and pop without severing its connection to home. That balance helped the group build an international following while remaining deeply identified with Hawai‘i.
The album’s collaborative structure also reflects the community that has grown around The Green. Stan Walker extends the record’s reach across the Pacific, Johnny Suite and Likkle Jordee represent different generations within Hawai‘i’s current scene, and Robert Cazimero connects the project to a much longer cultural lineage.
The release arrived alongside the opening dates of The Green’s 2026 Titles Tour. The band celebrated the album at House of Blues Anaheim on July 17 before appearing at Holo Holo San Diego the following day. Additional dates are scheduled across the western United States in September and October, with Johnny Suite and Wavvy joining selected performances.
With Titles, The Green continue carrying the torch for Hawaiian reggae without treating that responsibility as a reason to remain static. Titles is available now through The Green and Ineffable Records.
