Tower of Power Expands 56th Anniversary Tour to Europe, Announces New Lead Singer

On the heels of a successful winter and spring 2024 tour, Bay Area funk and soul icons Tower of Power have announced a series of dates across Europe. The tour brings the band overseas for fifteen dates in eight countries.

“We love going overseas to play for our European fans, in cities we’ve visited for decades,” shared Emilio Castillo bandleader and founder of Tower of Power. “This tour is special in that we’re celebrating 56 years of being a band, joined now by our new lead singer Jordan John. We can’t wait to see you in November!”

Multi-instrumentalist Jordan John joined Tower of Power in the spring of 2024. Jordan, having opened for Aretha Franklin, performed with Prince, David Foster and Wide Mouth Mason, brings his spectacular vocals and guitar playing into the Tower of Power mix. In addition to Jordan, the Tower line-up features Emilio Castillo (sax/MD), Doc Kupka (baritone sax), Tom Politzer (sax), Adolfo Acosta (trumpet), Dave Richards (trumpet), Jerry Cortez (guitar, Roger Smith (B3/keys) and Marc van Wageningen (bass).
