Exclusive Interview with Stephen Marley

Stephen Marley has a new album coming out May 24th titled, Revelation Pt 1: The Root of Life. It’s a 14 track album that features a slew of guest appearances including brothers Ziggy & Damian “JR Gong” Marley, Buju Banton, Spragga Benz, Wale & The Cast of Fela and Melanie Fiona.
The Pier got to catch up with Stephen Marley in his first Exclusive Interview with The Pier. Look out for the interview to be posted soon as Stephen Marley isn’t done releasing music this year as he’s expected to release Revelation Pt 2: The Fruit of Life later this fall. Stay Tuned!


Exclusive Interview with Michael Franti & Spearhead

In our first interview w/Michael Franti, The Pier got to touch base on his latest release The Sound of Sunshine that was inspired by a near death experience for Franti. We also got to hear Franti’s comments on covering Sublime’s What I got for the Sublime Tribute album released a few years ago a long with other tidbits to look forward to. He’s currently on tour right now with the band Spearhead and just came back from his first trip to Singapore in April! Stay tuned for this Exclusive Interview!


Exclusive Interview with Josh Fischel

For those of you who have been living under a rock for the last 10 years, Josh Fischel is a Long Beach, CA based singer/songwriter. He spent nine years with the band Bargain Music touring the country and putting out seven albums under the Bargain Music name. Now, Josh is back with his new group Josh Fischel & The Fiction. They’re currently working on a new album and The Pier is set to do an interview with Josh Fischel to talk about all the new happenings going on in the musical world of Josh’s genius singing & songwriting.


Exclusive Interview with Rootdown

On Tuesday, May 17th, Rootdown is releasing their first full length album titled Tidal Wave. It’s a 10 track album complete with Pop, Beach Rock, with a scent of reggae influence. A step up from their previous releases, The Pier caught up with Singer/Frontman Paul Wright to discuss their new release & what fans can expect from them on the road! Look out for this interview & their new album this Tuesday!
