No Doubt fans were certainly jumping out of their seats at the news that the reggae ska punk group from Orange County, was preparing to go on tour. Now that’s changed, fans may have something else to look forward to…
In a recent report from Wendy Geller of Yahoo! Music, the tour has been postponed so that the fantastic foursome can work on their new album.
A post on No Doubt’s Facebook account explained the situation: “While touring behind comeback album Push And Shove last year, front woman Gwen Stefani found herself “inspired” to write new material. The group decided to go with the unexpected creative jolt and enter the studio at the beginning of 2013.”
No Doubt is striving to release their new material as soon as it’s available. They also “will update frequently with news and photos from the studio, and thanked everyone for their patience and support.”
According to the band’s official website, no further tour information has been provided. The 2012 album Push and Shove was the first studio album released since Rock Steady in 2001. It was met with a mild response from fans wanting a bigger glimpse of the group from the ’90s.
While we will all have to wait a little longer to see the talented faces of our beloved Adrian, Tom, Tony and Gwen, patience is certainly a virtue and will pay off No Doubt style.
