Andy Frasco & The U.N. have released their new single “King of Fools,” out now across streaming platforms.
Known for turning every stage into a full-body rock ‘n’ roll revival, Frasco has built his career on chaos, heart, humor, and a deep belief in the communal power of live music. “King of Fools,” released May 22, finds the band looking inward, pulling back the curtain on the strange lessons that come with growth, success, and life on the road.
“Sometimes we forget what the meaning is and why we’re doing this in the first place,” Frasco says. “Sometimes the train takes a detour and we get celebrated for the things we’re not the most proud of. That’s the part of maturing, we get another chance to get it right. ‘King of Fools’ is about these moments.”
That balance between self-awareness and rowdy release has always been part of Frasco’s appeal. He is a bandleader, songwriter, podcast host, and party-starter, the kind of frontman who can turn a festival field into a late-night barroom sermon. With his unmistakable curls tucked under a knit cap and a stage presence somewhere between John Belushi’s “Joliet” Jake Blues and Jimmy Buffett, Frasco brings a wild, joyful energy to his music while still leaving room for the heavier truths underneath.
“King of Fools” leans into that duality. On the surface, it carries the big, loose, road-tested spirit fans expect from Andy Frasco & The U.N., but the message hits from a more reflective place. The song is about realizing when the ride has pulled you away from the original purpose, then choosing to get back on track instead of pretending everything is fine.
The release arrives as part of a larger 2026 rollout, with Frasco set to release a steady stream of new songs every four weeks throughout the year. “King of Fools” follows that plan with a full content push, including short-form social videos, scripted sketches tied to the song’s themes, a long-form YouTube video asset, digital advertising, email blasts, live show promotion, and cross-promotion through Andy Frasco’s World Saving Podcast.
The podcast has become a major part of Frasco’s world in its own right, featuring conversations with guests including Bert Kreischer, Billy Strings, Margaret Cho, Tony Hawk, Warren Haynes, and many others.
