Costa Rican reggae and hip-hop band Earthstrong have officially released their second studio album, Stand Strong, a 10-track collection rooted in positivity, resilience, love, gratitude, and personal growth.
Hailing from San José, Costa Rica, Earthstrong have spent the last several years building their sound across the Latin American reggae scene while continuing to strengthen their connection with the California reggae movement. Stand Strong marks the band’s biggest project to date, following a monthly release rollout that gave fans time to connect with each song before the full album arrived.
The new record blends reggae roots with modern hip-hop influences, giving Earthstrong a sound that feels both grounded and forward-looking. Across the album, the band leans into uplifting messages while continuing to evolve musically, expanding on the foundation that earned them recognition as recipients of the ACAM Award for Best Reggae Album.
Stand Strong also arrives during a major chapter for the band. Earthstrong recently completed a California tour, performing at staple reggae venues and continuing to grow their audience in the United States. The band has also shared stages and built relationships with artists throughout the Cali reggae world, including Fortunate Youth, The Late Ones, Mellow Man Ace, Inna Vision, Rik Jam, Eli-Mac, and Dread Kennedy.
One of Earthstrong’s biggest recent moments came when the band was invited by Sublime to perform “Caress Me Down” in front of tens of thousands of fans at Festival Picnic in Costa Rica. The performance introduced Earthstrong to a wider audience and helped further connect the Costa Rican reggae scene with the Southern California sound that has influenced generations of reggae-rock fans.
The new album features collaborations with Costa Rebel, Jahricio, and Shaka Mon, along with contributions from legendary musician, songwriter, and producer Ronnie King. King’s long-running career includes work with globally recognized artists such as Tupac Shakur, Mariah Carey, Snoop Dogg, The Offspring, and Pennywise.
With Stand Strong, Earthstrong continue pushing their message beyond borders. The album reflects a band that has grown through touring, collaboration, and years of independent work, while staying true to the uplifting spirit at the center of their music.
Stand Strong is available now on all major streaming platforms here.
