Great South Bay Music Festival Announces 2026 Headliners Including Sublime, My Morning Jacket, and Govt. Mule

One of the Northeast’s longest-running independent music festivals is returning this summer. The Great South Bay Music Festival has announced the first wave of artists for its 2026 edition, which will take place July 23–26 at Shorefront Park in Patchogue Village, New York.

Celebrating its 18th anniversary, the four-day waterfront festival is set to feature 55 artists across three stages, blending jam bands, reggae-rock, alternative, punk, and classic rock alongside rising regional talent.

Among the 2026 headliners are My Morning Jacket, Sublime, Gov’t Mule, The Used, Bruce Hornsby with The Noisemakers, and legendary Southern rock group Little Feat.

Additional artists announced in the initial lineup include Common Kings, Sierra Hull, KOYO, Cartel, NY Ska Jazz Ensemble, Deadlands, and more performers still to be revealed.

Each day of the festival is curated around a different musical theme.

Thursday: Emo and Pop-Punk Throwback

Opening night on July 23 will highlight alternative and pop-punk acts from the late 1990s and early 2000s. Headliners The Used will lead the lineup, joined by bands including Cartel, Koyo, and Deadlands, with additional artists still to be announced.

Friday: Rock-Reggae Beach Party

Friday night brings the festival’s popular Rock-Reggae Beach Party, anchored by a headline set from Sublime, featuring Jakob Nowell alongside original members Eric Wilson and Bud Gaugh.

The performance is billed as the band’s only New York summer appearance. Supporting acts include Common Kings and Florida’s The Ries Brothers, delivering a blend of reggae, rock, ska, and hip-hop influences.

Saturday: Jam Band Showcase

Saturday has long been known as Jam Day at Great South Bay. The night will be headlined by Gov’t Mule, led by guitarist and songwriter Warren Haynes, with support from Bruce Hornsby & The Noisemakers.

The lineup also includes bluegrass virtuoso Sierra Hull and the improvisational trio LaMP, featuring Scott Metzger, Russ Lawton, and Ray Paczkowski.

Sunday Finale

Closing night on July 26 will feature My Morning Jacket delivering an extended headlining set blending rock, jam, country, and psychedelic influences. Supporting the finale will be Little Feat, who are currently touring as part of their Last Farewell Tour.

Beyond the performances, the Great South Bay Music Festival has built a reputation as a full cultural event. The festival grounds will feature artisan vendors, a large food court offering diverse cuisine, beverage tents with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options, and a pop-up activation from Happy Days Dispensary, a New York State licensed recreational cannabis retailer.

Families are also part of the festival experience. On Saturday and Sunday, the event will present a dedicated children’s entertainment area with magic shows, puppetry, music, and interactive performances.

Since its founding, the festival has also maintained a strong philanthropic component. A portion of every ticket sold supports the GSB–Stony Brook Cancer Center Fund, which has raised over $250,000 for cancer research and treatment. Local nonprofit organizations will also be featured inside the festival’s Storyville Tent, helping raise awareness for causes including domestic violence support, homelessness, pet rescue, and voter registration.

Located along the waterfront of the Great South Bay, the festival has grown into the largest music and arts event on Long Island. Past performers have included artists such as B.B. King, The Doobie Brothers, Phil Lesh & Friends, Tedeschi Trucks Band, 311, Rebelution, Slightly Stoopid, Damian and Stephen Marley, Blues Traveler, Dirty Heads, and Third Eye Blind.

With its multi-genre lineup, waterfront setting, and community-driven mission, the 2026 edition continues the festival’s tradition of bringing together diverse music fans from across the Northeast.
