Kash’d Out Expand Their Reggae-Rock World on New Album Mirage

Florida reggae-rock favorites Kash’d Out are back with Mirage, their new 11-track album released August 28 through Ineffable Records.

The record represents the latest chapter in a career built on constant touring, catchy songwriting and a sound that has comfortably moved between reggae, alternative rock and the broader American reggae-rock scene. On Mirage, Kash’d Out widen that circle even further, bringing together guests from reggae, hip-hop and alternative music while keeping the band’s own personality at the center.

The guest list alone gives a good indication of the album’s range. Tropidelic appears on opener “King of the Coop,” Little Stranger joins the band for “Mushroom Tea,” Dizzy Wright guests on “How Bad Could It Be,” Mihali appears on “Good Karma,” Yung Pinch contributes to “Space Suit,” and Wax is featured on “Tightrope.”

The Orlando-based band formed around vocalist Greg Shields and guitarist Jackson Hauserman, who first connected during a studio session. Bassist Joey Brohawn, drummer Marshall Hearne and keyboardist A-Mac round out the current lineup. Kash’d Out broke into the national reggae-rock circuit with their 2017 debut album The Hookup, released through Pepper’s LAW Records, and quickly developed a reputation for a relentless touring schedule.

Their 2023 album Butter pushed the band further, with guest appearances from Pepper, Shwayze and the late Katastro. Mirage now continues that progression while marking a new full-length era for Kash’d Out through Ineffable Records.

A Long Road to Mirage

Although Mirage has only just arrived as a complete album, portions of the record have been taking shape publicly for more than a year.

“King of the Coop” with Tropidelic first arrived in April 2025, followed by “Mushroom Tea” with Little Stranger that July. “Space Suit,” featuring Yung Pinch, followed in November before Kash’d Out opened 2026 with “My Problems” in February.

In June, they added another piece of the project with “How Bad Could It Be,” featuring Las Vegas rapper Dizzy Wright. Those releases gradually revealed an album interested in stretching Kash’d Out’s established reggae-rock framework without abandoning it.

“King of the Coop” opens the record with Tropidelic before “Mushroom Tea” brings Little Stranger into the mix. “My Problems” gives Kash’d Out a track entirely to themselves before Dizzy Wright enters on “How Bad Could It Be.”

The middle of the record moves through “Good Karma” with Mihali, “Space Suit” with Yung Pinch and “Tightrope” with Wax, creating a three-song run that connects Kash’d Out with artists from several different corners of the alternative, reggae and hip-hop worlds. From there, the band takes over the closing stretch themselves. “Nothing Going On,” “Love Language,” “Stranger By My Side” and “Bury My Bones” finish the record without outside features, allowing Mirage to ultimately circle back to Kash’d Out as a band rather than relying entirely on its impressive guest list.

Kash’d Out Take Mirage on the Road

The album also arrived in the middle of the band’s Good Karma Summer Tour, making the release part of an active stretch on the road rather than the beginning of a future touring cycle.

Following dates across the Northeast in late August, Kash’d Out continue into September with stops in Raleigh, Asheville and Atlanta before joining The Movement and Pepper for dates in Charleston and Wilmington.

For a group whose growth has always been closely tied to its live show, that timing feels appropriate. Mirage documents a band that has spent years building relationships with artists and audiences throughout the reggae-rock circuit and is now using that foundation to push into a broader musical space.
