The release follows a major milestone in Iké’s career, with Treasure Self Love earning her a nomination for Best Reggae Album at the 2026 Grammy Awards. The recognition marked an important moment for an artist whose work has helped introduce contemporary Jamaican reggae to audiences around the world.
For this latest release, Zion I Kings revisit “Love in a Lovely Way” through their signature roots reggae approach, placing Iké’s soulful vocal delivery and songwriting at the center of the arrangement.

A New Interpretation of Treasure Self Love
Originally appearing on Treasure Self Love, “Love in a Lovely Way” reflects the emotional openness and emphasis on love that runs throughout the album.
The project marked a defining step in Iké’s development as a songwriter, bringing together elements of roots reggae, contemporary Jamaican music, soul, and R&B.
While her music draws from longstanding reggae traditions, Iké has developed a contemporary style that emphasizes expressive vocals, personal storytelling, and arrangements that leave room for both traditional and modern influences.
Zion I Kings have earned recognition for their work within the international roots reggae community. The production collective, associated with the musical partnerships of Zion High Productions, I Grade Records, and Lustre Kings Productions, has helped shape a distinctive approach to contemporary roots reggae through its emphasis on live instrumentation and classic Jamaican production traditions.
Their collaboration with Iké brings together two complementary approaches to reggae: her contemporary, soul-influenced songwriting and the collective’s roots-oriented production.
Originally from Manchester, Jamaica, Iké first emerged as part of a new generation of Jamaican artists helping expand the international audience for reggae music. With Treasure Self Love, Iké further developed her songwriting and artistic identity, bringing the themes of self-worth, emotional growth, and personal connection into a full-length project. The album’s Grammy nomination helped introduce her work to an even broader audience, placing her alongside established names in the genre while recognizing the growing influence of younger Jamaican musicians. As Iké continues performing internationally and developing her catalog, the single represents another chapter in the evolution of her debut album.
“Love in a Lovely Way (Zion I Kings Version)” is available now via Ineffable Records.
