Genre-bending reggae/rock band, Lionize, is releasing their fifth album, Superczar and The Vulture on December 6, 2011. This is the first album to be released on Pentimento Music Company. The group went to Magpie Cage Recording Studio (Against Me!, The Promise Ring, Murder By Death) to record with the legendary J. Robbins. The album is expected to include 70s-influenced heavy psych rock riffs with reggae grooves and deeply soulful vocals, resulting in a record that both challenges and embraces the genres where it finds its roots.
The rock, reggae, soul, psychedelic inspired band has also released a new single from the album, “Superczar”, which is available to download and rock out to. Lionize spent this past summer on the Vans Warped Tour, and followed that success with a string of dates across the United States co-headlining with friends Larry and His Flask.
