Rebelution has sparked the interest of reggae enthusiasts across the globe since their debut album Courage To Grow in 2007. After the Santa Barbara, CA based band released their critically acclaimed sophomore album Bright Side of Life, Rebelution reached new heights, including a debut album release at the #1 position on the iTunes Reggae Charts, maintaining the #3 position for the top iTunes albums downloaded in the United States in all genres of music and skyrocketed to #1 on the Billboard Top Reggae Albums chart.
After fans poured into venues across the United States, Europe and South America, Rebelution’s worldwide fan base anxiously waited for their next full-length studio album.
Well, the wait is almost over! Rebelution will be releasing their highly anticipated Peace of Mind album on January 10th 2012 on their own record label 87 Music through exclusive distribution partners, Controlled Substance Sound Labs.
“Peace of Mind” will not be your typical album. Rebelution is prepared to release two additional versions of Peace of Mind making it a triple disc album. Along with the standard studio album, a stripped down acoustic rendition, as well as a Dub remixed album of the 12 original Peace of Mind tracks will be available. Easy Star’s Michael Goldwasser (Dub Side of The Moon, Radiodread, Easy Star’s Lonely Hearts Dub Band) is the man behind the dub remixes.
If a highly anticipated triple album release doesn’t get the fire burning inside, a three-month tour across the continental United States should do the trick. Rebelution will be teaming up with island sensations The Green, kicking off in Albany, NY, including tour stops in Boston, New York City, New Orleans, Las Vegas, Denver and a plethora of other major cities.
