Are you looking for a last-minute plan this weekend? Reggae Rise Up Vegas hits the Las Vegas Events Center this weekend, October 7th-9th.
From the Reggae Rise Up camp comes the second of three yearly nationwide festival installments, this time at the downtown Las Vegas Events Center the second weekend in October. Last year’s Reggae Rise Up in St. Petersburg, FL hosted over 15,000 festival-goers, with numbers for the other two festivals expected to reach or surpass in the coming years. This year was the first time the festival tour was held in Baltimore, MD on the downtown waterfront and with the steady turnout, it seems like the east coast festival has cemented its place in Reggae Rise Up’s event roster.
It’s going to be a rollicking good time spanning three days with a lineup chock full of American reggae and hip hop heavyweights, like Stick Figure and Atmosphere (headlining Friday), Rebelution and Iration (headlining Saturday) and Slightly Stoopid and Trevor Hall (headlining Sunday).
This festival in the heart of Sin City might be a little chaotic in the best way possible.
Friday starts out with Cydeways, Surfer Girl, Sa- Rock, DENM and The Elovaters before pivoting to a full-on island reggae party with The Green, HIRIE and Tribal Seeds before, of course, the aforementioned headliners take the night to a close. Day Two continues the island energy, with Eli-Mac, Kolohe Kai and the jam band-infused Mihali before some of reggae rock’s finest — Sensi Trials and Ballyhoo! — change the pace. Jamaican reggae roars its head with Jesse Royal, Protoje and Skip Marley before the west coast staples of Rebelution and Iration wrap up the vibes. And, if that wasn’t enough, in comes Sunday, starting with vibey Vana Liya, Little Stranger and Satsang, the thrilling skate punk reggae of Tunnel Vision, Through The Roots, and The Expendables, the cheeky performances of Pepper and Steel Pulse, before Hall and Stoopid cement the weekend as one for the record books!
Because this is obviously NOT a camping festival, it’s suggested to book your rooms as early in advance as possible or consider some of the vacation packages available through the Reggae Rise Up site. Additionally, General Admission and VIP Packages are currently still on sale. Hope to see you October 7th through 9th!
