Iration and Pepper are back on tour together for the first time since Pepper’s “Playboys in Paradise” tour in 2009! Iration went on their first national tour back in 2008 with Pepper. This time around the boys have come up with the tour name ‘Hawaiian Punch’, as both bands not only come from Hawaii, they come from the same island!
Announced earlier this month, the Hawaiian Punch tour has fans roaring with excitement with this hot Hawaiian line up that includes Iration, Pepper and New Kingston. Coming into this tour, Iration will still be feeling the heat from their August album release, ‘Hotting Up’. If you haven’t heard, Pepper plans to release their next record in the spring! And New Kingston will be fresh off their winter tour with Rebelution.
The tour will be 14 total dates that will take place from February 12th – March 5th, 2016 hitting 10 different west coast states. The dates for the tour you can view below.
Some fans and myself experienced a brief teaser of Iration and Pepper playing together this past week at the Closer To The Sun music festival, hosted by Slightly Stoopid in Mexico. Pepper performed two songs off their new record with “Start You Up” and “Vacation”. Iration closed out the festival on Thursday night, inviting lead singer Kaleo Wasman of Pepper to perform a song during their set. It was very clear that these guys have a blast together on and off the stage!
Earlier this week I spoke with drummer, Yesod Williams of Pepper about both the upcoming tour and new album. He let me know that: “Iration and Pepper had been talking about touring together for a long time now and they couldn’t be more pumped that they FINALLY made it happen again!” Pepper’s new album is “all mixed, mastered and ready to go”, but the boys don’t expect to release it until after the Hawaiian Punch tour is over.
If you are as excited as we are about Pepper’s new album make sure to catch one of the shows; Yesod let us know they will be swapping in and out a bunch of new tracks on this tour! View the dates below to find them coming your way.
