Rising Boston alt-pop and reggae-rock band The Elovaters connect with Bryce Vine for their new single “Pockets Full Of Sand,” the latest preview of their upcoming album Shark Belly Motel, due in may.
The track marks the eighth and final single leading into the album, capping off a rollout that has steadily built momentum for the band’s next chapter. Known for blending breezy reggae rhythms with alternative and pop sensibilities, The Elovaters continue to refine their sound that has helped them break out beyond the traditional reggae scene.
Shark Belly Motel is set to feature additional collaborations with Dirty Heads and DENM, expanding the project’s reach while staying rooted in the band’s signature style. The release follows their 2023 album Endless Summer, which helped solidify their growing national presence.
The band is coming off a 27-date headlining run, highlighted by two nights at MGM Music Hall in Boston, and shows no signs of slowing down. Next up is a major milestone: their first-ever headlining performance at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado this May, which has already sold out.
Following that, The Elovaters will join Slightly Stoopid on the road in June, continuing a packed touring schedule that reflects their rapid rise.
With “Pockets Full Of Sand,” The Elovaters close out the Shark Belly Motel rollout on a collaborative note, setting the stage for a summer that looks poised to be their biggest yet.
