Two roots-driven acts with deep ties to the American South are joining forces this summer. The Wood Brothers and JJ Grey & MOFRO have confirmed a brief co-headlining run of shows in July and early August 2026, bringing their blend of blues, soul, folk, and swamp-rock to select venues across the United States.
The collaboration begins July 10 in Salt Lake City, Utah, where the two groups will share the stage at a venue that has yet to be announced. From there, both bands will continue their own summer schedules before reconnecting later in the month for a four-show Northeast run.
That stretch kicks off July 29 at Tree House Brewing Company in South Deerfield, Massachusetts, followed by July 30 at the South Shore Music Circus in Cohasset, Massachusetts and July 31 at the Cape Cod Melody Tent in Hyannis, Massachusetts. The joint run wraps up August 1 at Perinton Center Park Amphitheater in Fairport, New York.
Tickets for the Northeast shows are scheduled to go on sale March 13 at 10 a.m. ET.
Both artists enter the summer with active touring calendars. JJ Grey & MOFRO will spend much of the spring and early summer on the road, including appearances at Joe Bonamassa’s Sound Wave Beach Weekend, select headline dates across the South, and festival stops throughout the season. The band is also set for notable summer performances including shows with Joe Bonamassa and appearances at regional music festivals.
Meanwhile, The Wood Brothers continue their own extensive touring schedule, bringing their signature mix of Americana, blues, and folk storytelling to theaters and clubs across the country. Known for their tight musicianship and roots-heavy songwriting, the trio remains one of the most respected live acts in the modern Americana circuit.
While the co-headline run is short, the pairing makes musical sense. Both bands occupy a similar corner of the roots music landscape, blending Southern influences with modern songwriting and emphasizing groove-forward live performances. For fans of soulful Americana and swampy blues-rock, these summer dates offer a rare chance to see two seasoned touring acts share the same bill.
With festival appearances, headline runs, and these newly announced joint dates filling the calendar, summer 2026 is shaping up to be another busy touring season for both JJ Grey & MOFRO and The Wood Brothers.
