Thee Sinseers Announce Love Stories, Share New Single “Did Ya Know?”

Thee Sinseers have announced their sophomore studio album Love Stories, set for release September 18 via Colemine Records. Alongside the announcement, the East Los Angeles soul collective has shared the album’s lead single “Did Ya Know?”, which is now impacting radio.

Following their debut Sinseerly Yours, Love Stories arrives as a defining statement for the band—both musically and thematically. Rather than presenting a straightforward narrative, the album explores love in its most complex forms, pulling from romantic, familial, and personal experiences. It’s a full-spectrum approach that embraces both the beauty and the unresolved tension that often defines real-life relationships.

Bandleader Joey Quiñones describes the project as a reflection of where the group stands today, calling it “a solidifying statement of where we are now.” That clarity is reflected in the way the album was constructed. Unlike their debut, which evolved organically over time, Love Stories was built with intention from the outset, with each member’s role clearly defined before entering the studio.

That sense of cohesion extends to the album’s sound. Leaning into warm, analog textures, standup bass, vintage-style guitar tones, and layered arrangements, the band expands beyond traditional soul while still honoring its deep roots. The final mixes were handled by producer and engineer Kelly Finnigan, helping bring balance to a large ensemble working collaboratively toward a unified vision.

Lyrically, Love Stories resists easy conclusions. Tracks like “Let’s Fall In Love (Again)” highlight the album’s emotional honesty, with moments of self-reflection that challenge the idea of a perfect resolution. Instead, the record leans into ambiguity, presenting love as something ongoing and ever-evolving.

That perspective is reinforced visually as well, with album artwork featuring the band members’ parents—embedding real-life love stories into the project’s identity.

The band’s East LA roots remain a central influence throughout, not as a statement but as an inherent presence in the music itself. That authenticity carries into standout moments like “Minute by Minute,” which captures an intimate, slow-dance atmosphere reminiscent of local community spaces and shared memories.

To support the release, Thee Sinseers will embark on an extensive international tour this fall, with dates across Europe and North America, including a hometown performance at The Wiltern in Los Angeles on October 17.
