Demrick and Scoop Deville Link With DEV on ‘I Got What You Like’

Demrick and Scoop Deville bring two different sides of West Coast hip-hop together on “I Got What You Like,” a new single featuring DEV.

Released July 10 through Green Noi$e under exclusive license to Ineffable Records, the track is built around confidence, chemistry and the kind of direct approach suggested by its title. The release arrives as part of a two-song package that also includes “Southern California,” Demrick and Scoop Deville’s recent collaboration with Xzibit and Fingazz.

Demrick handles the record with the ease of an artist who has spent years sharpening his voice through independent releases, collaborations and extensive touring.

Demrick and Scoop Deville link with DEV on “I Got What You Like,” a confident West Coast single balancing sharp bars with crossover appeal.

That balance has long been central to Demrick’s appeal. He can operate comfortably within traditional West Coast rap while remaining flexible enough to work with artists from different eras and corners of hip-hop. His recent European tour alongside Xzibit placed him in front of international audiences, while his ongoing work with Xzibit and B-Real has continued through the Serial Killers collective.

Earlier in 2026, Serial Killers released This Thing of Ours, reconnecting Demrick with two of the most recognizable voices in West Coast hip-hop. “I Got What You Like” shifts away from the darker group dynamic of Serial Killers and into something more playful, polished and immediately accessible.

Scoop Deville plays an equally important role. Best known as the producer behind records for Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dogg, Busta Rhymes, Dr. Dre, Drake and others, Scoop has spent much of his career shaping records from behind the boards. Here, he steps forward as a rapper, bringing a loose but controlled performance that complements Demrick’s dependable cadence.

The move does not feel like a producer making a novelty appearance on his own track. Scoop approaches the microphone with confidence, using the same understanding of timing and space that has defined his production work. His verse adds personality without overcrowding the song.

DEV provides the melodic counterweight. Her appearance gives the record a more immediate crossover quality, creating separation between the verses and helping turn the collaboration into something that can reach beyond a strictly underground rap audience. Rather than softening the track, her contribution gives its confidence a clearer center.

Together, the three artists build a single that understands how to be polished without becoming anonymous. Demrick supplies the steady lyrical presence, Scoop Deville brings both production history and microphone charisma, and DEV delivers the melodic element that ties everything together.
