Demrick, Scoop Deville & Xzibit Rep The Coast On New Single “Southern California”

Demrick, Scoop Deville and Xzibit have joined forces for a new single, “Southern California,” out now via Ineffable Records.

The track brings together three distinct voices from the West Coast hip-hop world, each carrying a different piece of the region’s sound and history. For Demrick, “Southern California” continues a steady run of independent releases and collaborations built around sharp lyricism, smooth delivery and a grounded sense of place. His voice has long fit naturally into the lane between classic West Coast rap, underground hip-hop and the reggae-adjacent scene that Ineffable Records has helped build around.

Xzibit brings the weight of a longtime West Coast veteran to the single. Known for his unmistakable voice, commanding presence and decades-deep catalog, his appearance gives “Southern California” an added layer of authority. Demrick and Xzibit are also currently touring Europe together, bringing that chemistry from the road directly into the music.

The single also arrives shortly after Demrick and Xzibit teamed up with B-Real of Cypress Hill for This Thing of Ours, the latest album from their hip-hop supergroup Serial Killers. That project leaned into the group’s hard-nosed chemistry, connecting three artists with deep roots in West Coast rap and underground hip-hop culture.

On “Southern California,” producer, songwriter and artist Scoop Deville steps further into the spotlight as an emcee. Best known for production credits with Kendrick Lamar, Drake, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Busta Rhymes and more, Scoop uses the track to showcase his own voice, delivering playful but hard-hitting bars that match the song’s regional pride and loose confidence.

Rather than simply leaning on nostalgia, “Southern California” feels like a reminder of how much range still exists within the West Coast sound. The track carries the confidence, bounce and lyrical edge associated with the region, but it also reflects the current independent lane that artists like Demrick have helped define.

With Demrick and Xzibit on the road, the Serial Killers album still fresh and Scoop Deville stepping in with both producer pedigree and mic presence, “Southern California” lands as a strong meeting point between legacy and momentum.

The result is a track rooted in regional pride, but not stuck in the past. “Southern California” celebrates a sound, a place and a lineage while keeping the focus on three artists still actively pushing their own corners of West Coast hip-hop forward.
