Dirty Heads are stepping into their next chapter with more than just new music. The band is pairing the rollout of their upcoming album 7 Seas with a real-world impact, teaming up with 4ocean to help remove plastic from the ocean.
Frontman Jared Watson recently joined the 4ocean crew in Key Largo, where they pulled roughly 750 pounds of trash from the water. That same plastic has now been repurposed into a limited-edition Dirty Heads x 4ocean bracelet, available as part of a special eco box set tied to the album. Each bracelet purchased funds the removal of one additional pound of ocean waste, turning the release into something that extends beyond streaming numbers and charts.
The collaboration lines up directly with the themes behind the band’s new single “Seven Seas,” a laid-back but reflective track that centers on connection and showing up for one another during difficult times. Built on the band’s signature blend of reggae, hip hop, and alternative pop, the song leans into a message of resilience and support, offering a preview of the tone behind the full album.
Set for release on June 12 via Better Noise Music, 7 Seas marks the band’s ninth full-length project. The album was produced by Rome Ramirez and Ryan Ogren, and continues to expand Dirty Heads’ genre-blurring approach. Alongside “Seven Seas,” the band has also shared “One Of Those Days,” giving fans an early look at the range of the upcoming record.
Over the years, Dirty Heads have built a massive global audience, racking up billions of streams and crossing between reggae, alternative, and pop spaces with ease. Songs like “Vacation” and “Rescue Me” helped introduce them to new generations of listeners, while their touring history alongside acts like 311, Slightly Stoopid, and Sublime With Rome has kept them firmly rooted in the scene.
With 7 Seas, the band is not just continuing that momentum, they are tying it to something tangible. The 4ocean partnership adds a layer of purpose to the release, connecting their coastal identity to real environmental action.
