Gov’t Mule and Ziggy Marley Announce Dreaming The Same Dream Tour

Gov’t Mule and Ziggy Marley are joining forces this fall for the newly announced Dreaming The Same Dream Tour, a 16-date co-headlining run that brings together two towering names from the worlds of blues-rock, jam, reggae and roots music.

The tour kicks off September 23 at The Rooftop at Pier 17 in New York City before making its way through North Carolina, Virginia, Florida, Alabama, Georgia and Texas. The run wraps October 17 in Irving, TX at The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory.

The tour takes its name from “Dreaming the Same Dream,” the Warren Haynes and Ziggy Marley co-written song featured on the Warren Haynes Band’s 2012 album Live at the Moody Theater. The upcoming run marks the first full tour pairing Gov’t Mule and Marley, despite the two artists having crossed paths and shared stages over the years.

“I’m really looking forward to the tour with Ziggy Marley,” Warren Haynes shared. “We’ve known each other a long time and have shared the stage a few times but never done a tour together. There’s definitely an overlap between the two audiences, but I think a lot of Mule fans will be hearing Ziggy for the first time and a lot of Ziggy fans will be hearing Mule for the first time, which is great.”

Ziggy kept it simple, adding, “It’s gonna be a great jam session being on tour with Warren and the crew. I’m looking forward to the vibes.”

Adding to the cross-genre energy, YOLA will join the tour with a guest DJ set, serving as DJ and MC throughout the run. Her presence adds another layer to the lineup, connecting soul, rock, dance music and roots culture into a bill already built around musical crossover.

The tour announcement arrives during a busy stretch for both artists. Ziggy Marley recently released Brightside, his ninth studio album and first full-length studio release in eight years. The project includes “Racism Is A Killa,” featuring Big Boi, and “Many Mourn For Bob,” a tribute to the legacy of his father, Bob Marley. Ziggy will also spend the summer on his own Brightside Tour, including dates with Burning Spear, J Boog, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Ave and Thievery Corporation.

Gov’t Mule, led by Warren Haynes, continues to carry one of the most respected legacies in modern blues-rock and jam music. The band released Peace…Like A River in 2023, while Haynes followed with solo releases Million Voices Whisper in 2024 and The Whisper Sessions in 2025. Gov’t Mule will also hit the road this summer for additional headlining dates and co-headlining shows with Joe Bonamassa.

A charitable component is also tied to the fall tour, with $2 from every ticket going to Food For The Poor Jamaica to support shelter, food, clean water, medical care and long-term rebuilding efforts.

Artist fan club presales begin Wednesday, June 3 at 12pm ET, with local presales beginning Thursday, June 4 at 10am local time. General on-sale begins Friday, June 5 at 10am local time. Gov’t Mule VIP packages will also be available. Visit ziggymarley.com/tour for more details.
