Reggae-Dub-Rock favorites Pepper are hitting the road this Fall on the “Small Kine Tour Tree” bringing their signature blend of upbeat reggae, rock, and island vibes to their fans, known as the Pepper Ohana. Kicking off September 18, the tour hits western markets and follows the “Small Kine Tour” and “Small Kine Tour Too” that took place earlier in March and June respectively.
Amidst the tour, Pepper will release the new compilation record Operation Irie on October 10th. The record, which is produced by Pepper and their label LAW Records, features covers of punk songs of the 90s and 2000s performed by bands in a reggae rock style. Pepper just released their contribution, “Generator,” a reggae cover of the song from trailblazing punk legends, Bad Religion. The 18 song compilation received contributions from a long list of artists including Little Stranger, Passafire, Long Beach Dub Allstars, Surfer Girl, The Expendables and Ballyhoo!, covering Bad Religion, NOFX, Millencolin, The Offspring and more. Joining Pepper on tour are special guests and labelmates Tunnel Vision and Vana Liya on select dates. At the conclusion of the tour, Pepper joins reggae powerhouse Rebelution for a series of dates with the whole tour concluding in San Diego at Mission Bay Fest.
