Slightly Stoopid have dropped a new music video for their song “The Upside Down,” featuring Cypress Hill’s B-Real and Chali 2na of Jurassic 5.
The animated short envisions a grim, futuristic Los Angeles where alien drones terrorize citizens. Naturally, Slightly Stoopid and their friends are here to save humanity with the power of music. At one point, Chali 2na is seen rapping in a quiet neighborhood as the drones invade from above. At another, B-Real rolls down a city street in his low rider, evading laser blasts while delivering his flow. Later, the guest artists join Slightly Stoopid for a rapturous concert, with their positive vibes causing the alien crafts to explode.

Originally released in July, “The Upside Down,” is a catchy and powerful track, reflecting the need for peace and acceptance.

“The song has an underlying theme of more love in this world,” Slightly Stoopid explained at the time of release. “The magnitude of music bringing us all together is real and supersedes the narrative of negativity in this life. We are stronger as one, smoke stack it and enjoy the ride!”
Slightly Stoopid is set to perform at Reggae Rise Up Las Vegas this weekend. They’ll also be part of Mission Bayfest, taking place October 17-19 in San Diego. The group’s highly-anticipated tenth studio album is due out in 2026, marking their first new LP in eight years.
