Slightly Stoopid Drop Socially-Conscious Single ‘The Upside Down’ Featuring B-Real and Chali 2na

Slightly Stoopid have dropped their new single “The Upside Down,” featuring guest appearances from B Real and Chali 2na.

The socially-conscious track sees Slightly Stoopid addressing the endless wave of discourse and turmoil that seems to dominate society today. Rather than taking aim at specific issues, the band instead offers a plea for universal peace, encouraging listeners to ignore their differences and instead embrace acceptance. The tune’s chorus echoes this view, proclaiming:

“Upside down / Stuck in the middle / Where the world needs some / More love inside it / Cause we’re all still one / It’s time to stand not walk away”

“The song has an underlying theme of more love in this world,” Slightly Stoopid explained. “The magnitude of music bringing us all together is real and supersedes the narrative of negativity in this life. We are stronger as one, smoke stack it and enjoy the ride!”

B Real and Chali 2na each offer heartfelt flows on the verses. First up is Chali 2na, the Jurassic 5 rapper’s distinctive baritone voice ruminating on topics like “patience,” “balance” and “unification.” Later, Cypress Hill frontman B Real takes the spotlight, at one point declaring: “Division is venom for all / Pick a brother up / If you’re seeing another fall.”

Recorded at Sonic Ranch in Texas, “The Upside Down” is the second new song from Slightly Stoopid this year, following “Step Into the Sun.” The group’s upcoming tenth studio album, dropping in 2026, will be their first new LP in eight years. Listen to “The Upside Down” below.
