Veni Sun Teams Up With Mihali for New Single “A Thousand Suns”

Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Veni Sun has joined forces with Mihali, the guitarist and frontman of reggae-rock and jam band Twiddle, for a new collaborative single titled “A Thousand Suns,” released October 23 through Ineffable Records. The collaboration brings together two artists whose music moves between reggae, indie, folk, and improvisational rock, highlighting a shared approach to songwriting that draws from several overlapping musical communities.

For Veni Sun, the release continues a growing catalog of collaborations and independent singles that have helped establish his place within the contemporary reggae and alternative music scenes. For Mihali, it represents another collaboration outside his primary work, reflecting the wide range of musicians he has worked with through his solo career.

Originally from Arkansas and now based in Los Angeles, Veni Sun has developed a sound that incorporates reggae rhythms, acoustic instrumentation, folk-inspired songwriting, and indie influences. Mihali brings a complementary musical background to the collaboration. Best known as the frontman and guitarist of Twiddle, Mihali has spent years developing a distinctive approach to improvisational music, incorporating reggae, rock, funk, and acoustic influences into his performances.

“A Thousand Suns” brings those two musical backgrounds together, connecting Veni Sun’s indie-reggae songwriting with Mihali’s established presence in the improvisational rock world. The collaboration reflects the increasingly interconnected nature of the modern reggae-rock scene, where musicians frequently move between bands, solo projects, and collaborative recordings.

Building Momentum Through New Music and Live Performances

The new single follows a busy period for Veni Sun, who has continued introducing his music to audiences through both independent releases and supporting performances. Earlier in 2026, he appeared at Reggae Rise Up Florida, sharing a festival lineup with some of the biggest names in contemporary reggae and reggae-rock. He has also supported The Expendables and The Hip Abduction, two acts whose audiences closely overlap with the musical territory he explores. His previous collaborations include “County Line” with Surfer Girl and “Visions” with Moon Taxi, reflecting his willingness to work across different corners of the alternative and reggae scenes.

Mihali has followed a similarly collaborative path throughout his solo career, building relationships across the reggae, rock, and jam communities. His music frequently draws on themes of personal growth, reflection, and connection, while his live performances showcase the improvisational guitar playing that helped establish his reputation with Twiddle.

A Growing Presence in the Reggae and Alternative Scene

“A Thousand Suns” arrives at a time when the boundaries between reggae, alternative rock, folk, and jam music continue to overlap. Artists working within these scenes increasingly collaborate across genres, bringing different musical backgrounds to releases that reach audiences beyond any single category. For Veni Sun, the single adds another notable collaboration to a growing body of work and marks another step in his development as an independent artist.

“A Thousand Suns” is available now via Ineffable Records.
