Jared Watson Stepping Away From Dirty Heads to Focus on ‘Health and Well-Being’

Dirty Heads have announced that Jared Watson is taking some time away from the band. As a result, the co-lead vocalist will miss their remaining 2025 shows.

“We wanted to share an update with you all,” began a message shared via the Dirty Heads’ social media. “”Our brother Jared will not be joining us for the final three shows of the tour – Atlantic City, NJ, Danville, VA, and Rancho Mirage, CA – as he takes some time away to focus on his health and well-being.”

“While we’ll miss him on stage, we full support him taking this time for himself,” the statement continued. “The rest of the band will still be performing and bringing the energy you’ve come to expect from a Dirty Heads show. We’ve put together a special set to close out the tour, and we can’t wait to share these last few nights with you.”

“We’re so grateful for your understanding, love, and continued support,” the band wrote in closing. “The Dirty Heads family has always been about positivity, connection, and looking out for one another, and that’s exactly what we’re doing now.”

Watson co-founded Dirty Heads with Dustin (Duddy) Bushnell 1996. Together, the frontmen have led the group’s dual-headed attack, creating a distinctive vocal dynamic all their own.

After the three affected concerts, Dirty Heads don’t have another performance on their calendar until January’s Closer to the Sun festival in Mexico. The band’s message seemingly indicates that Watson will rejoin the group by then.
