Rome and Dirty Heads Team Up on New Song ‘Slow and Easy’

Rome has enlisted his pals Dirty Heads for a breezy new summer jam called “Slow & Easy.”

With whistling, uplifting lyrics and a carefree lilt, “Slow & Easy” hits like breath of fresh summer air.

“We made this song to bring a little peace to the all madness in the world,” Rome explained in a message posted to social media. “So take a breath, roll the windows down, and enjoy the ride.

Rome and Dirty Heads have frequently collaborated in the past. Notably, the musicians teamed up in 2010 on the chart-topping “Lay Me Down.”

In a conversation with Rolling Stone, Rome said collaborating with Dirty Heads on “Slow & Easy” made the song “even more special.” “We helped each other launch our careers back when ‘Lay Me Down’ became a summer anthem, and now, all these years later, we’re bringing that feeling back! This one’s the soundtrack to the summer. All over again!”

“Slow & Easy” is Rome’s second single of 2025, coming on the heels of his earlier release “Why Me?” The singer has a handful of tour dates lined up this summer, including a stop at Summerfest in Milwaukee on July 5.

Likewise, Dirty Heads will be spending most of the summer months on tour. In addition to a run of headlining dates, the band will perform at Reggae on the Way in Tacoma, WA, the Annapolis Songwriters Festival in Maryland, and Reggae Rise Up events in both Salt Lake City and Las Vegas.
